Data Analytics Services (DAS) Portal

How to Login

1. As an external user, you will need to request an external account: firstname.lastname@ext.statcan.ca to be able to access your Virtual Machine and the resources needed. Please Contact Us to request an account.

2. Using a modern web browser, access the link below

   • https://www.statcan.gc.ca/data-analytics-services

3. Click the sign-in button.

   

Note: When you login for the first time, you will be prompted to change your password.

1. Once signed in, you will be in the hub page. You can go to that page by clicking the DAS Hub button next to where you signed in.

   

How to access Virtual Machines

Please use the Virtual Machines for instructions on how to login to your virtual machine.

How to access Services

To Access Services, you must first ensure you are:

1. Login into the Data Analytics Services (DAS) Portal.
2. Login into your Virtual Machines

Note: All the services listed below will only work from your Virtual Machine.

Azure Synapse

1. From your virtual machine you can login to the Data Analytics Service (DAS) portal to access the Azure Synpase URL.

1. From your virtual machine you can login to the following url: https://web.azuresynapse.net/, sign in with your cloud account credentials, and select the Synapse workspace that was created for you.

Azure Blob Storage

Please see the Storage for more information on how to access storage.

Azure Data Lakes

Please see the Storage for more information on how to access storage.

Azure SQL Database

Please see the SQL Server for more information on how to SQL Server

Azure Data Factory

Data Factory is available as part of Azure Synapse for External Users

Azure Databricks

1. From your virtual machine you can login to the Data Analytics Service (DAS) portal to access the Azure Databricks URL.

1. From your virtual machine you can login to the following url: https://canadacentral.azuredatabricks.net/, sign in with your cloud account credentials, and select the Databricks workspace that was created for you.

Azure Machine Learning

1. From your virtual machine you can login to the Data Analytics Service (DAS) portal to access the Azure Machine Learning URL.

1. From your virtual machine you can login to the following url: https://ml.azure.com/, sign in with your cloud account credentials, and select the Machine Learning workspace that was created for you.
