The Extractive Sector Transparency Measures Act helps the Government of Canada deter corruption in the extractive sector. Extractive entities — oil, gas, and mining businesses — that are active in Canada must publicly disclose certain types of payments made to governments in Canada and abroad.

Resource Projects is an open-data portal published by the Natural Resource Governance Institute. It provides information about payments made to governments by businesses that extract oil, gas and mineral resources worldwide. This interactive website includes ESTMA data that has been aggregated with data generated by the European Union and European Economic Area.
